Two incidents happened to me yesterday, the first was seeing a boy in the playground with his father and instead of the father playing him he was talking on the phone the entire time. The poor boy looked miserable and had the forlorn expression of " Play with me" The other incident was at gymnastics where i saw two mothers completely ignoring what their kids were doing. In one case a kid was about to jump down on Lily and DH caught him to stop him and the mother had the nerve to give him a dirty look. Hello your kid was about to slam my daughter into concrete.
Why aren't parents paying attention to what their kids are doing?

Some children need more attention than others. If you have more than one child you can spread yourself to thin and need to join a "parents" day out program to catch up on home maintenance and friendships. Ignoring children (unless its excessive) sends the wrong message to the child.

There is no reason to ignore your child. I always make time to push her on the swings or play with her on the playground. She loves it.
God Determines who walks into your life. It's up to you to decide who you let stay, who you let walk away, and who you refuse to let go.
